Last night was the first SolidWorks User Group meeting in yeeeears. As you walked into the Meeting Room #9 at Tulsa Tech Center the smell of Legend’s bar-b-que emanated the room and people were busy introducing themselves.
All together we had 20 people show up to the first user group meeting with people that ranged in industry and experience. We had two SolidWorks resellers that showed and really helped out. Thanks Texas Engineering and Engatech.
Richard Doyle, king of the community from SolidWorks Corp, was our keynote presenter. He gave an outstanding look into the additional features you’ll find in SolidWorks 2008 and the reasons behind some of the changes. The interface changes were one but the people I talked with there that were using it already liked it a lot.
At the moment, we’re planning on having the meeting every three months, so that would put the next one in February, right after SolidWorks World, Jan. 20-23.
Here’s some pics of the goings on.
